The Stonewall Child Development Center embraces physical as well as mental wellness services to children, staff, and families.  We strive to build a collaborative relationship with our mental health professionals and community resources.  Mental Health Specialist assist teachers and parents in developing the most appropriate guidelines for children.  This provides children with an environment that enhances their social and emotional development.

DR. VELMA JEAN CARROLL
DIRECTOR

Hello, allow me to introduce myself. I am Dr. Velma Jean Carroll.  I love children and want to see them become the best they can be.   I strongly believe that “It takes a village to raise a child”.  I have over 10 years of childcare experience working in Caddo Parish School Board,  as a Early Childhood Teacher and  five years  as a learning center director.  I have a B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Doctorate Degree in Humanities.
I am a member of Carroll Temple  C.O.G.I.C. where I teach the Adult Sunday school class and serve as the Church Administrator.
